  • The Academic, Instruction, and Student Services Committee of the Board of School Directors will hear public comment regarding the proposed 2012-2013 school calendar at its meeting Thursday, February 23, 2012.  The meeting begins at 6:00pm, held at the administrative offices boardrrom at 2101 N.   • Make Up Days: The district will make up September 8 and September 9, 2011 school closings due to the flood on October 10, 2011 and March 2, 2012. SciTech make up days are January 6th and Feb 10th.

Students and Parents are encouraged to attend FAFSA Completion Day on February 23, 2012 at John Harris High School in the library from 8:20 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. or at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  PHEAA will be present to assist students and parents with completing financial aid documents.  You must bring your 2011 completed tax forms.  Filling out the FAFSA form is the first step to get money to pay for your college education. 

Parents and students are also invited to check out the school district website for available scholarships. Go to Student and Family Services tab and click secondary counseling.  The scholarships are organized by due date.  If you need more information or help, please call your child’s counselor.
