Harrisburg High School

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Happy New Year Parents! It has been a pleasure being your son or daughter’s 10th grade principal so far this year. I would like to let you know that we are working diligently to make certain that your child knows the importance of attending school, wearing the proper uniform, getting to class on time and establishing good study habits. Our school mission is to create a stimulating learning environment that empowers students to reach academic proficiency and develop into productive members of society.  We would appreciate and need your help so that your child succeeds in all of these areas.

The following questions are frequently asked by parents, and I wanted to give you the information once again.

·         How can I become involved in my student’s education?

Become a member of the HHS PTA/attend parent meetings/help with fundraisers/visit us/Look at Home Access online/attend sporting events/Check the district website for upcoming events and important dates such as report card distribution/contact GEAR UP at 703-0448 or 703-0449 to see how your child can get a jump start on college or trade school/email teachers/call me – ask questions!

·         How can parents make a contribution?

We value any idea that you may have that would add to the education program at HHS, sporting events, fund raising ideas, etc.  Don’t be afraid to share your thoughts with us.  Contributions come in all forms – volunteering, help with events

·         Do parents need an invitation to become involved?

You have an open invitation to become involved in whatever way that you feel comfortable. Give whatever time you can to us.

I look forward to working with you.

Respectfully,

Ms. Patsolic
