It's just the students getting ready for our spring musical...

Bugz! A Musical for Young Voices! 

Students in grades 1 - 4 were able to sign up to sing in the chorus and/or audition for a speaking part.  All of the speaking parts have been assigned, however, it is not too late to sign up to sing in the chorus.  Click here to download the permission form and return it to Mr. Shelleman by Monday, April 8.
 
REHEARSALS
A detailed rehearsal schedule can be found in the links in the navigation pane to the left.
 
All Rehearsals are from 3:30 to 4:45 PM.
  • Students with speaking parts in Scenes 1 & 2 will rehearse on Wednesday, April 3 and Tue, April 9.
  • Students with speaking parts in Scenes 3 & 4 will rehearse on Thursday, April 4 and Thursday, April 11.
  • Students with speaking parts in Scenes 5 & 6 will rehearse on Monday, April 8 and Monday, April 15.
  • UPDATE!  Students with speaking parts in ALL SCENES will rehearse on Tuesday, April 16.
CONCERT
  • The concert will be at 6:15 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in the Marshall School Auditorium.
  • UPDATE!  We will perform at Barnes & Noble in Camp Hill, PA on Saturday, April 20.  Students should report to Marshall at 9:50 AM.  We will travel via School District Bus to the event.  The performance will be at approximately 11 AM.  We will return to Marshall at approximately 12:15 PM. 
 
COSTUMES
Costumes will be very minimal.  Mr. Giancola, Marshall's art teacher, will have students in select classes make masks for each type of bug that is in the musical.  In addition, I'm asking that each child wear clothing of the suggested colors for their character, IF POSSIBLE!
  • Honeybee - black and yellow
  • Yellow Jacket - yellow jacket or sweatshirt
  • Gypsy Moth - shades of brown
  • Horsefly - black or dark gray
  • Monarch Butterflies - black and orange
  • Maggot - white or cream
  • Lady Bugs - black and red
  • Dragonflies - blue and green
  • Fireflies - black or gray with a small bit of flourescent yellow or green
  • Boll Weevil - black or brown
  • Flipping Beetle - black or brown
  • Army Ants - camouflage
  • Grub Worm - brown
  • Stink Bug - brown or gray
  • Praying Mantis - green
