Who are the Pink Pearls?  6^th thru 8^th Grade girls

Requirements:  Application of Interest with 2 Teacher referrals, Parent signature, Interview

Highlights:  “Dress for Success”(every Wednesday), “You are What you Speak”, “Recognize your Challenges”,”Accentuate the Positive”,  “Who Am I”, Journaling

Start Date:  September 24th (an hour after school), once a week to start.  The day could vary between Wednesdays and Fridays

Facilitators:  Ms Johnson, Ms Burns

Professional women from varied career paths are invited to speak and share their wisdom with the girls.  So far, we have had a nurse, a superintendent, a poet and teacher, and a public speaker/broadcaster/poet as our guests.  Because our focus is service learning, the girls have had several opportunities to participate in charitable events, to include Toys for Tots, fundraisers for the Humane Society, American Red Cross, and Harrisburg’s Homeless Initiative.
