Terra Nova Testing (Grades 1 & 2): April 10 - 20, 2012 (makeups April 12 - 24, 2012)
Dear Parents of students in grades 1 and 2:
Students in grades 1 and 2 across the Harrisburg School District will be given the Terra Nova Assessment. This tests each student’s achievement in both reading and math.
It is very important that each student come to school every day of the test – prepared to do his/her best. You can make sure this happens in the following ways:
Get a good night’s sleep the night before; go to bed at least by 8:30 p.m.
Exercise outside after school – get at least one half hour of active exercise each day.
Come to school every day – on time. All students will be required to complete the entire test.
Eat a healthy breakfast.
Talk about the test with your child each evening. Ask him/her to think about what he/she did correctly and what can be done better on the next test.
Encourage your child to DO his/her BEST!
